Open Casting Call for Palmdale Playhouse’s Production of “Harvey”

PALMDALE - The Palmdale Playhouse will hold open auditions for the upcoming production of “Harvey” on Friday, Feb. 26 at 6 pm and on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 10 am at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th Street East in Palmdale.

        Performers should be prepared to read sides from the script, which will be provided at the audition. Thirteen roles are available for ages 25 and up. 

        Written by Mary Chase and produced by special arrangements with Dramatists Play Service, “Harvey” is the tale of a 47-year-old Elwood P. Dowd and his best friend, an invisible, 6-and-a-half foot tall rabbit named Harvey.  Dowd is known and liked in the local tavern, but his relatives are embarrassed by his behavior.

Performances of “Harvey” at the Palmdale Playhouse will be held Fridays and Saturdays, April 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 8 pm, and Sundays, April 18 and 25 at 2 pm.

        Tickets for “Harvey” and all Playhouse events may be purchased 24 hours a day on the Playhouse Web site at www.cityofpalmdale.org/playhouse.
